Logistics Engineer

We are looking for a new Logistics Engineer to join our team. As a Logistics engineer, you will play a crucial role in (re-)engineering initiatives within the contract logistics organization. Your responsibilities will include: • Lead, support and coordinate customer implementation projects
• Perform (RFQ) data analysis and feasibility studies, supported by cost-, price and P&L calculations for new business development and existing operations
• Act as a facilitator for the review of new account proposals
• Identify & recommend opportunities for improvement and business optimization
• Liaise with business development and operations management
• Ensure that business/change impacts are properly managed and communicated within the stakeholders Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional who meets the following criteria:
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience: min. 5 years relevant experience within a logistics and warehousing environment with focus on customer solution design, implementation management and process improvements
• Can translate customer requirements into warehouse and transport processes
• Good understanding of Kaizen and project management methodology (e.g. Prince2) principles
• Analytical thinker with the ability to structure and solve logistics challenges
• Commercial acumen, organizational leadership, financially driven, analytic mindset, can reach win-win consensus (negotiator), thinks pro-actively, works independent, deals with priority setting
• Experience with process redesign, integrating KPI’s, service metrics, productivity benchmarks and root cause analysis
• Effective communicator with good oral and written communication skills in French, Dutch and English. Demonstrates good listening and negotiation skills; Why Yusen Logistics?
