Data & AI Intern

In order to support Avertim’s growth, we are currently looking for a Data & AI Intern who could actively support Avertim’s Digital & Analytics Service Line on data-driven and AI-related projects, from business analysis to solution development and client delivery.

Availability for 6 months required.

Key responsibilities:

You will take an active part in the life of our Digital & Analytics team, working alongside the Principal Consultant and supporting project managers and business consultants in their missions across several industries (Life Sciences, Energy & Transport, Banking & Insurance).

You will be involved in the following projects and core activities:

• Business analysis & solution design: Gather and analyze business requirements from clients, write user stories and functional specifications, and help prioritize features for Proof of Concept (PoC) projects. You will contribute to the design of AI solutions using tools such as Microsoft Azure and other AI Builder solutions.
• Development & testing: Develop and test AI/data components in Python, integrate foundation models and relevant frameworks, and ensure the quality and relevance of solutions through rigorous testing and client feedback. You will also explore low-code/no-code solutions for rapid prototyping.
• Client & team collaboration: Participate in client meetings to present PoCs, adapt solutions based on their needs, and collaborate with governance, project management, and business management teams. You will report to the Principal Consultant and contribute to the continuous improvement of our internal methodologies.

Your Background:

• Master’s students on a curricular gap year or in their final year in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field. Previous internship or significant experience in software development is a strong plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication, team spirit as well as autonomy.
• Creativity, proactivity, strong analytical skills, and good programming abilities: Python (must-have), understanding of data structures (SQL, NoSQL, Graph).
• Knowledge of AI frameworks, RestAPI, or IBM Watson tools is a plus.
• Fluent in English (main working language); French and/or Dutch are valuable assets.
