Your role 
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join our team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in improving digital processes, systems and tools in procurement. You will support initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, transparency and automation within procurement workflows.

Key responsibilities:

• You assist in analysing current procurement processes to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.


• You support the documentation and mapping of end-to-end procurement workflows using process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN).


• You collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and user feedback on existing procurement tools and platforms.


• You participate in the implementation and testing of new digital procurement tools or enhancements to existing systems (e.g., SAP ERP,SAP Ariba,  supplier portal, D&B, Wave, Power BI…)


• You help create training materials and user guides for new processes or system updates.


• You monitor KPIs and procurement performance data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.


• You will work cross functionally to identify systemic issues such as late posting of goods receipts, vendor mismatch, price discrepancies and support initiatives to streamline and improving digital procurement processes


• You assist in the automation of routine procurement tasks using digital tools (e.g. data dashboards).

Are you the one we’re looking for?

• You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.


• You are seeking a challenging internship opportunity in Ghent, Belgium, with a duration of min. 12 weeks.


• You have a strong interest in procurement, process improvement, and digital transformation.


• You have an analytical mindset and enjoy problem-solving.


• You’re detail oriented; motivated & eager to learn.


• You are proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint. Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP Ariba )  & data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI) are a plus.


• You’re an energetic and motivated individual, eager to take your first step in the professional world.


• You have excellent communication & presentation skills, written and verbal, in English.
