Meetings & Events Trainee at Hilton Brussels Grand Place

Scope of the Internship

Under the general guidance and supervision of the Commercial Manager and the M&E Sales Coordinator, the Meetings & Events Trainee helps and assists the team in selling groups and events by converting clients’ enquiries into confirmations and managing the delivery of conferences and meetings. This internship offers an exciting dive into the world of meetings and events within our hotel, providing an enriching and surprising experience in a friendly and stimulating atmosphere.

Key tasks

Client Interaction and Sales:

• Be the go-to person for clients, responding to their requests and offering great deals.




• Help the Group, Conference & Events Team with daily tasks to create custom sales offers and get clients' confirmations.




• Negotiate with clients and manage group requests from the first contact to the contract stage.




• Stay in touch with clients to ensure they're happy and meet deadlines before their events.




• Handle writing contracts and managing bills.

Event Coordination:

• Create detailed function sheets to share all group details with the operational departments, from arrival to invoicing.




• Coordinate with all operational departments to ensure everything runs smoothly for meetings, events, and group bookings.




• Assist with site inspections and handle mystery inquiries.




• Join in on weekly function meetings with operational teams.

Operational Support:

• Be there during large operations to help the M&E operations team and make sure everything meets client expectations.




• Handle daily tasks and reporting.




• Manage internal meetings and follow Hilton procedures.

Guest Service:

• Show top-notch service by being attentive, quickly fulfilling guest requests, and anticipating their needs.




• Stay updated on trends and market conditions affecting guest experience.




• Take action to prevent guest complaints.

Candidate Profile

• 
  Language Skills: Fluent in English; knowledge of French or other languages is a plus.




• 
  Education: Student in Hospitality, Public Relations, Commerce, or Event Management with an internship agreement starting in november/december 2025 for a minimum of 4 months (6 months preferred).




• 
  Personal Qualities: Smile, dynamism, eagerness to learn, administrative and/or commercial skills are a big plus.
