Full-time (or Part-time) House Manager / Housekeeper for UES (Yorkville) Family #FT0142

Part-time or Full-time House Manager / Housekeeper required for an UES (Yorkville) family with a young family starting ASAP (flexible for the right candidate). Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but daily errands, coordinating family vendors, overseeing household management and overall organization of the home is expected. In addition you will be responsible for daily upkeep of the home, cleaning (family does employ a weekly cleaner), laundry/light ironing, shopping for groceries/supplies and adhoc household errands.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone who has a strong attention to detail, is reliable and who can show initiative with daily tasks. The family is looking for someone experienced, trustworthy and with a strong work ethic who is looking for a long term commitment. The right person for this role should be a self starter, proactive and enjoy a professional work environment. The ideal candidate has worked in fully staffed homes, has a team player mentality and is a strong communicator with the family and other household employees.

Location: UES, NY

Start date: ASAP (flexible for the right candidate)

Days/times: The family is open to guaranteeing between 3-5 days. Ideal hours are 11.30am - 7.30pm: Sunday through Thursday or a mix of these days. Cleaner works on Fridays.

Children: Two young children

Conditions: $35 + per hour - dependent on experience

• Authorization to work in the US
• A minimum of 3 years experience as a Housekeeper and/or House Manager, 5 years preferred
• An understanding of managing a household with children
• Readiness to help with all housekeeping and house related tasks
• Exceptional references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality and professionalism.
• Ability to commit for a minimum of 2 years for all permanent positions - family is looking for a long term commitment and the role to grow with the right candidate
• Comfortable with pets in the home (family has one dog). Family would love someone who is open to some pet related duties (ie. occasional dog walking).
