Part Time Nanny for West Village Family #PT0012

Part-time Nanny required for a West Village family with two children (ages 5 + 8) starting Summer 2025. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing nurturing care, interacting with their active children in an active, stimulating, and age-appropriate way as well as school pick-up, afternoon classes, facilitating play dates/activities, homework and light child related housekeeping. To be successful, you will need to be a calm, proactive and engaged Nanny who is looking to commit to a family who values direct and open communication. The family spends one month of the summer in the Hamptons, and live-in Monday through Friday is a requirement. Drivers License is essential (Hamptons only - no city driving).

Location: West Village, NYC + Hamptons, NY

Start date: Summer 2025 (family open to retainer/signing bonus to secure candidate ahead of the summer)

Days/times: Monday to Friday - general schedule 1.30pm - 7pm. Family open to guaranteeing between 25-35 hours/week depending on candidate needs (ie. adding in date nights, etc). Some flexibility would be ideal for days off school (holidays, etc). No frequent weekends, travel or overtime is expected with this role.

Children: Two children - son (born 2016) and daughter (born 2019)

Conditions: $30 - $33 hour* plus sick days, vacation, metro card and two weeks paid leave per year

For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

• A minimum of 2 years experience as a nanny, 3-5 years preferred in NYC
• Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Education or equivalent knowledge of stages of child growth and development
• Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
• Readiness to help with light housekeeping as needed (laundry for family, organizing, tidying apartment, etc.).
• Ability to commit for a minimum of 1 year - looking for a long term commitment
• Comfortable with children in the water
• Travel during the summer to the Hamptons (one month, live-in Monday through Friday is a requirement)
• Comfortable with small dogs
