Role Summary
This role is responsible for leading the technical engagement across a strategic set of large enterprise named accounts in the state of Rio de Janeiro, including mission-critical customers in the energy, oil & gas, media, healthcare, public sector, and telecommunications sectors. The Solutions Consultant will act as a trusted advisor, driving the technical strategy, solution architecture, and customer adoption of Hitachi Vantara’s infrastructure and data solutions.
The position requires a senior professional capable of navigating highly complex environments, engaging with both technical specialists and executive stakeholders, and supporting multimillion-dollar sales cycles involving mission-critical workloads. This role demands strong architectural expertise, advanced communication skills (in both Portuguese and English), and the ability to influence outcomes in long, multi-layered enterprise engagements.
Qualifications and Skills
10+ years of experience in a Consulting Presales role within the Storage Industry or in a High-Value Infrastructure Solutions company, supporting large enterprise accounts.
8+ years in the Information Technology industry, with proven experience in complex, multi-vendor environments.
Advanced English (mandatory), required for daily interaction with global teams, technical experts, and executive stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of core IT infrastructure technologies, including enterprise storage, server platforms, virtualization/VMware, business continuity, data protection, SAN, and LAN/WAN architectures.
Knowledge of ESX, vSAN, NSX and vRealize is desired.
Familiarity with enterprise applications such as ERP and CRM is a plus.
Demonstrated track record of success supporting Business Technology–related sales within large or strategic customer accounts.
Competencies
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education required.
Ability to write well-structured reports and proposals with clear, logical, and succinct language.
Ability to develop and deliver well-structured presentations tailored to both technical and executive audiences.
Excellent whiteboarding and solution-storytelling skills.
Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
Excellent customer and business negotiation skills.
Personable – able to represent Hitachi Vantara positively to customers and build trusted relationships at multiple levels.
Persuasive – able to influence technical and business stakeholders effectively.
Articulate – strong verbal and written communication skills.
Organized – able to coordinate resources, manage multiple priorities, and operate within complex sales cycles.
Comfortable working in unstructured environments and capable of prioritizing effectively.
Able to work independently and proactively; self-starter with strong ownership mindset.
