The Opportunity
The Technical Consultant represents the PMO to both internal and external customers, acting as a key technical authority throughout the engagement lifecycle. The role requires strong relationships with Customer SMEs, Relationship and Account Managers, and close collaboration with Operations and Technical Support to ensure a smooth transition from project delivery into business‑as‑usual support.
Working alongside Project Managers, Solution Architects and Technical Leads, the Technical Consultant helps shape scalable, secure and high‑performing solutions that meet business needs. This is a technical leadership and business analysis role, requiring clear communication, consistent documentation and the ability to influence both sales engagements and project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Join Relationship and Account Managers in customer meetings to provide technical expertise.
- Review customer change requests and perform detailed analysis of requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Produce and present design documentation based on agreed requirements.
- Communicate clear solution options and recommendations to ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery.
- Contribute to delivery estimates, plans and technical considerations across the software lifecycle.
- Provide customers with guidance on available software configuration options.
- Support Project Managers with technical advice and decision‑making.
- Identify risks and issues within the software development process.
- Maintain awareness of compliance requirements related to third‑party data.
- Participate in customer‑facing activities, including demonstrations at key project milestones.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, Architecture and Service Operations to ensure successful transition to BAU support.
- Work closely with internal and external SMEs to ensure accurate delivery of changes
About You
Ideally, you’ll have a background in software development, with experience delivering projects for both internal and external clients, along with strong business analysis skills.
You will also bring:
- Commercial awareness and a strategic mindset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Solid understanding of modern technology environments and APIs, including software and application architectures, cloud platforms, mobile technologies, and relevant programming practices
- A good grasp of quality assurance and information security principles
