Role Definition Implements HR strategies aligned with business objectives, provides guidance on HR policies and practices, and fosters a culture of employee engagement and development. Responsibilities • Collaborating with management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives. • Aligning HR policies and programs for their business unit or region which promote employee engagement, retention, and performance. • Acting as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits, etc. • Analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to senior management. • Leading team of HR professionals to collaborate effectively with other Centers of Excellence and serve as thought leaders to the business and HR. Skill Descriptors Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations . Level Extensive Experience: • Explains business issues and trends of own business unit as compared to other business units. • Demonstrates a big picture understanding of the business, its interrelationships, and priorities. • Demonstrates strong foundation of business fundamentals, measurement, and business finance. • Explains advantages and risks of using business simulations for critical business decisions. Global Perspective: Knowledge of issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace; ability to apply global perspectives appropriately in a wide range of situations. Level Working Knowledge: • Conducts business with one or two other countries. • Assesses key legal, regulatory, and financial issues specific to a particular country. • Recognizes behaviors that promote or stunt effective relationships in that country; acts accordingly. Knowledge of Organization: Knowledge of the organization's vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance. Level Extensive Experience: • Aligns own department's plans with enterprise mission and vision. • Coaches others on organization's philosophy, culture, and history. • Trains others on the functions, key responsibilities, and practices of multiple departments or units. • Participates in developing formal procedures and structures for getting things done within the organization. Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Level Extensive Experience: • Differentiates assumptions, perspectives, and historical frameworks. • Evaluates past decisions for insights to improve decision-making process. • Assesses and validates decision options and points and predicts their potential impact. • Advises others in analyzing and synthesizing relevant data and assessing alternatives. • Uses effective decision-making approaches such as consultative, command, or consensus. • Ensures that assumptions and received wisdom are objectively analyzed in decisions. Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization. Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there. Level Working Knowledge: • Utilizes an appropriate style of leadership • Utilizes positive reinforcement to motivate & attain desired behaviors; increases productivity. • Demonstrates leadership qualities: intelligence, dominance, persistence, integrity, confidence. • Employs leadership theories, such as contingency and transactional, and associated techniques. • Manages own behaviors during interactions, such as feedback giving, to shape workplace events. Human Resources Consulting: Knowledge of HR approaches, tools and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HRrelated initiatives. Level Extensive Experience: • Collaborates ideas and maintains confidentiality with HR managers. • Evaluates HR solutions provided to management and advises on further improvement plans. • Consults with managers on a wide range of HR issues. • Delegates line management support quickly and effectively for HR issues. • Manages multiple HR projects and diverse consulting relationships. Talent Management: Knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals. Level Working Knowledge: • Implements campaigns designed to attract, retain, and develop talented individuals to the organization. • Evaluates the competencies and personal attributes of prospective employees vs. desired qualities. • Participates in assessing the competencies present in current members of the organization. Basic Qualifications College or university degree Advance experience in similar job-related. Extensive background in the following human resources areas is typically required: HR Strategic planning, Employee Engagement, Labor relations, Employee benefits, Compensation, Employment practices, Organizational development, and training with a working knowledge of Manufacturing. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others. Advanced English Level Top candidates will also bring: A master’s degree from a reputable university. Professional certification in human resources. 6 sigma Black Belt Lean leadership Data analytics experienced to analyze talent data metrics and make recommendations for improving productivity and performance.
