Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Import Export Coordinator at Platton in São Paulo, SP. The Import Export Coordinator will be responsible for managing export documentation, coordinating import and export activities, providing customer service support, and ensuring compliance with import and export regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Documentation Preparation: Prepare and review all required import and export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, shipping labels, and customs declarations. Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
2. Customs Clearance: Coordinate customs clearance processes for import and export shipments, including filing required documentation, obtaining permits and licenses, and liaising with customs authorities to resolve any issues or delays.
3. Transportation Coordination: Coordinate transportation arrangements for import and export shipments, including booking cargo space, arranging pick-up and delivery, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
4. Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, customs brokers, and other stakeholders involved in the import/export process. Provide timely updates and address inquiries to ensure a seamless shipping experience.
5. Compliance Management: Stay up-to-date with import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements to ensure compliance with US customs laws and international trade requirements. Implement best practices to minimize risks and optimize processes.
6. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and proactively communicating updates throughout the shipping process. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
7. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the import/export process, such as customs delays, transportation disruptions, or documentation errors. Implement corrective actions and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in import/export coordination or customs brokerage, with a minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade documentation requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in logistics software and systems (e.g., customs clearance software, TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
