Team Development

• Talent Acquisition: Identify skill gaps and lead recruitment efforts to build a high-performing team.
• Mentorship and Training: Foster talent growth through direct mentorship and the development of training programs.
• Team Composition: Strategically assemble teams, aligning individual strengths and skills to project needs.

Technical Leadership

• Architectural Decisions: Champion and guide the adoption of sustainable and forward-thinking technical architectures.
• Technical Roadmap: Define and communicate the technical vision and roadmap, ensuring it aligns with long-term objectives.
• Hands-on Guidance: Lead by example through involvement in architecture workshops. 
• Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of how to design and operate secure and scalable environments in financial services. 

Project Management

• Budgeting: Collaborate with the project manager to manage and allocate project finances.
• Timelines: Oversee the creation and adherence to project schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies in partnership with the project manager.

Process Improvement

• Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate and refine development processes to enhance productivity, quality, and reliability while maintaining sustainability for the business and team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Interdepartmental Cooperation: Actively engage with product, marketing, and operations departments to contribute to ideation, provide feedback on feasibility, and participate in prioritization exercises.
• Alignment with Company Goals: Ensure that engineering initiatives and efforts are fully aligned with the broader goals and strategic direction of the company.

• Technical Skills: Extensive expertise in managing and refining the software development process, emphasizing the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable software solutions. Skilled in optimizing development workflows and integrating best practices in code quality, version control, and continuous integration/delivery.
• Leadership Skills: Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary tech teams, with a focus on innovation and team performance. 
• Communication Skills: Strong communicator with the ability to articulate complex technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
• Domain expertise: Deep understanding of how to design and operate secure and scalable environments in financial services. An appreciation of the value of secure policies and procedures to ensure the secure integrity of the business as well as the ability to enforce them. 
• Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated capability in strategic problem solving and decision-making, with a track record of tackling complex technical challenges effectively.
• Adaptability: Experienced in adapting to rapidly changing business needs and requirements in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
