Assembly Worker

Perform assembly tasks and test operations of medium cycle, involving highly dexterous movements to achieve the required fit on complicated but standard components. Receive components for assembly or test operations in programmed sequence. Adjust bench equipment, jigs, and fixtures to facilitate assembly tasks. Assemble, overhaul, or use calibration equipment to test complex assemblies and subassemblies of products. Follow uncomplicated drawings or sketches detailing a range of product specifications. Adjust assemblies to achieve specified fit by often working to close tolerances.

Responsibilities:
1) Operating Machine or Equipment: Operate various equipment and machines, adjusting one or more variables to achieve efficiency.
2) Equipment Maintenance and Repair : Help to maintain and repair equipment and appliances by carrying out preparations and providing assistance while following strict, detailed instructions.
3) Operations Management: Carry out operational tasks by following established processes. Involves working within given settings or parameters.
4) Quality Assurance: Perform relatively simple quality sampling and inspection of products or processes (or both).
5) Operational Compliance: Follow a straightforward mandatory procedure to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct.
6) Work Scheduling and Allocation: Work according to an assigned schedule.
7) Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow basic mandatory work instructions (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the well-being of self and others.
8) Personal Capability Building: Develop and maintain excellent skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.

Educational Requirements: Lower Secondary School

General Experience Requirement: Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised (13 months to 3 years)
