This freelance opportunity is part of a global talent pool supporting the next generation of audiovisual localization.
You will work on film, television, and digital content, helping adapt stories and performances for German-speaking audiences.
The role combines linguistic expertise, creative judgment, audiovisual quality, and emerging AI-powered dubbing technologies.
You will review scripts and AI-generated dubbing outputs to ensure localized content feels natural, accurate, engaging, and faithful to the original creative intent.
You will collaborate with language and production teams while working independently across multiple projects and deadlines.
The position offers hands-on exposure to advanced dubbing platforms and evolving media production workflows.

Accountabilities:
- Adapt, review, and refine scripts for AI-powered dubbing projects, ensuring that localized dialogue is accurate, natural, and appropriate for the target audience.
- Review AI-generated dubbing outputs and identify linguistic, performance, pronunciation, timing, or quality issues requiring correction.
- Ensure localized audiovisual content maintains the tone, meaning, emotional intent, and creative qualities of the original production.
- Collaborate with internal production and language teams to improve localization quality and achieve strong creative outcomes.
- Apply language and audiovisual expertise to multiple film, television, and digital content projects.
- Work independently across concurrent assignments while managing priorities and consistently meeting project deadlines.
- Learn and apply new AI dubbing platforms, production tools, and localization workflows as part of an evolving media environment.
- Contribute to high-quality production standards while helping refine emerging AI-assisted localization processes.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional experience in one or more relevant areas, including dubbing direction, script adaptation, dubbing performance, or voice acting within the Media & Entertainment industry.
- Professional experience with German, both spoken and written, with strong command of linguistic nuance and natural expression.
- Strong English communication skills in both written and spoken communication.
- Previous experience using AI dubbing tools or platforms is required.
- Strong technological aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new digital platforms and production tools.
- Audio or video editing skills are desirable and can support success in the role.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to evaluate language, performance, and audiovisual quality critically.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, combined with the ability to work independently.
- Creativity, adaptability, and an interest in the intersection of entertainment, localization, and AI technology.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a freelance production environment.
