Communications Specialist

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

• Driving independent, strategic projects, looking to measure communications impact, identifying best practice, optimizing processes, and setting future direction. 
• Helping enable management/spokespeople to communicate in an effective and trustworthy manner internally and externally. 
• Developing engaging content and stories that rally employees and external stakeholders towards Novonesis’ purpose, strategy, and impact. 
• Being responsible for the internal editorial pipeline, and applying a 360-degree approach to content, and connecting regularly with colleagues in editorial roles to repurpose and reuse content. 
• Creating content across multiple internal channels, including Yammer, info screens, posters, emails, video platforms – suitable for a global, diverse audience 
• Creating stories of impact and driving engagement with news media, in collaboration with Public Affairs, Line of Business, Global Communications, and Sustainability team. 
• Creating external social media content for Regional President and other leaders, especially for LinkedIn 
• Writing thought leadership articles for Regional President and responding to media queries, in collaboration with Public Affairs team and Country Managers. 
• Monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of communications (internal and external) and making recommendations for improvement based on feedback and data analysis. 
• Being an enabler for internal events and other initiatives to promote employee engagement and strengthen the company culture.

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

• A degree (BSc or MSc) in journalism, communications or similar 
• Proficient English skills, both written and spoken. 
• Solid business understanding and experience within strategic internal and external communication. 
• A track record of advising senior and top management. 
• Ability to develop strategic plans and activity plans for complex initiatives in a way that can be easily understood and adapted by relevant stakeholders. 
• Experience with content creation and delivery (i.e., email, newsletters, intranet content, videos, presentations, thought leadership articles, social media content, esp LinkedIn) 
• Strong capabilities in crafting compelling messages. 
• Experience in engaging with news media and handling of social media channels. 
• Strong project management skills. 
• Ability to develop a content strategy, and activity/communication plans for various initiatives + content creation. 
• Experience in CMS tools like SharePoint.
