We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations and provide strategic insights to support business growth. This role requires managing monthly closes, reconciliations, AP/AR processes, and bookkeeping, while ensuring compliance and accuracy across all entities. You will collaborate closely with executives, CPAs, and other stakeholders to deliver timely reporting, maintain KPI dashboards, and implement financial controls and improvements. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong command of accounting systems, and enjoys translating complex financial data into actionable recommendations. Accountabilities:
- Oversee monthly financial closes, reconciliations, and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance across all entities.
- Manage AP/AR, bookkeeping, and related work prepared by Finance Associates, ensuring standards and accountability.
- Coordinate with CPAs and legal teams for tax filings, compliance, and investor documentation.
- Maintain KPI dashboards and provide executives with actionable financial insights and reports.
- Implement financial controls, policies, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the CFO and other stakeholders on financial analysis, KPI modeling, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in real estate, construction, or investment management; CPA or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience managing finance teams or bookkeepers, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Advanced skills in Excel/Sheets and accounting software; detail-oriented and process-driven.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with financial reporting standards, tax compliance, and KPI tracking.
