This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Founding Senior Software Engineer based in Brazil.
You will join an early-stage, high-growth product team building a next-generation platform that transforms how organizations process and act on real-time information across multiple media sources. This is a foundational engineering role where you will directly influence architecture, product direction, and technical standards from the ground up. You’ll work in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment alongside engineers with experience from leading global tech companies. The work spans backend systems, AI-driven pipelines, and scalable cloud infrastructure. Your contributions will be shipped quickly and will directly impact hundreds of enterprise customers. This is a rare opportunity to help define both the product and engineering culture of a rapidly scaling company.
Accountabilities:
- Architect and build core platform systems, owning end-to-end feature development across backend and infrastructure layers.
- Design and implement scalable services and APIs that power data ingestion, processing, and insight delivery across the platform.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into production workflows, including LLM-based systems, embeddings, RAG pipelines, and agent-like architectures.
- Build and optimize distributed systems capable of handling high-volume, multi-modal data (text, audio, video) in real time.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering stakeholders to define technical direction and ship features rapidly.
- Ensure system reliability, performance, security, and maintainability as the platform scales.
Requirements:
This role requires strong backend and systems engineering expertise combined with a product-driven mindset and ability to move quickly in an early-stage environment. Candidates should have experience building production-grade systems, working with cloud infrastructure, and contributing across the full software lifecycle. Strong communication skills and comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous environments are essential.
- 3+ years of experience building and scaling production software systems.
- Strong backend engineering skills with experience in distributed systems and API development.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working with AI/ML-powered systems such as LLMs, RAG pipelines, embeddings, or similar technologies (preferred depth in one or more areas).
- Solid understanding of data modeling, system design, and scalable architecture principles.
- Familiarity with modern backend stacks such as Python, TypeScript, or similar languages.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-moving environment.
