Global Digital & Commodity Analyst

Summary:

The Global Digital & Commodity Analyst supports the Global Transformation Leader and NA Digital Leader to ensure alignment with the Procurement Transformation Strategy. The role drives regional and global digital procurement initiatives, executes digital roadmaps, and leads transformation and continuous improvement projects to increase automation, productivity, and digitally managed spend.
Locally, the role also serves as a Commodity Specialist, promoting a world class purchasing function through standardization, SOP compliance, and best practice sharing. The Specialist supports plants in cost saving initiatives, enhances the “how to buy” and “where to buy” processes through automation, and contributes to savings targets, optimized payment terms, and full contract life cycle management.
This role collaborates closely with Business stakeholders and the Indirect Commodity Management team to ensure alignment with organizational goals. It drives measurable results through continuous improvement, KPI monitoring, SOX compliance, and other performance metrics.
Overall, this position connects digital procurement capabilities with tactical and strategic sourcing, embedding best practice digital processes and supporting the onboarding of future procurement talent.

Responsibilities Include:

Digital Procurement & Transformation

• Lead procurement digitization initiatives, driving automation, guided buying, and P2P standardization across sites.
• Promote adoption of digital procurement tools among users, Commodity Managers, and suppliers.
• Support training and usage of Ariba, guided buying, and digital procurement processes.
• Maintain basic digital documentation and KPIs.

Catalog & Process Governance

• Assist with catalog creation and updates to improve compliant spend.
• Support adherence to procurement SOPs and approval workflows.

Commodity & Cost‑Saving Support

• Support plants with MRO sourcing and basic cost‑saving activities.
• Assist in digital sourcing events (RFQs, e‑bids, e‑auctions).

Operational Procurement Activities

• Follow up on open orders, past‑due orders, blocked invoices, and other P2P issues.
• Support accurate PO execution and troubleshooting in SAP/Ariba.
• Maintain simple dashboards and operational reporting.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Work with Manufacturing, Planning, EHS, Finance, and Category Managers to support purchasing needs.
• Help identify digital opportunities and share improvements across sites.
• Support training and onboarding of new users in procurement tools and processes.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

• 2 years procurement or operations experience

• Displayed proficiency in leveraging AI within business processes

• Fluent in English

• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

• Adept at Microsoft Office tools (M365 Co-Pilot, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

• Highly motivated and energetic

The following are preferred for the role

• Continuous improvement mindset

• Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, and E-auction tools

• Six Sigma or Lean certification

• Professional experience using Copilot, Chat GPT (Artificial Intelligence)
