About the Area

As a Tax Counsel, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our tax planning and compliance strategy. Your mission will be to deeply understand our business, ensuring our operations are always in compliance with tax laws and optimizing the company's tax burden.

Responsibilities

• Planning and Compliance: Support the team preparing  internal opinions on taxes (ISS, IRPJ, CSLL, PIS, COFINS, Social Security Tax), ensuring compliance review and tax optimization.
• Research and Analysis: Actively research tax reform and other relevant topics, and analyze the QuintoAndar Group's business model to identify opportunities and risks.
• Collaboration and Knowledge: stakeholder management, integrating with the Operations, Accounting, and Legal departments, seeking an in-depth understanding of the company's internal processes.
• Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve tax challenges, using your technical skills and curiosity to find the best solutions.
• Document Preparation: Prepare advisory memos and other documents that support the tax department's strategic decisions.

• Clear Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, essential for interacting with different areas and preparing documents.

• Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of taxes, especially ISS, IRPJ, CSLL, PIS, and COFINS.
• Investigative Profile: Keen curiosity and proactivity to research, learn, and delve into tax topics and the business.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex information and propose effective solutions.
• Fluent English: Essential for the position; Spanish is a plus.
• Tools: Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Academic Background: Preferably a degree in Law (OAB registration is not required, but passing the OAB exam is a plus).
• Minimum experience requirement: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in legal taxation, obtained through work in in-house legal departments, law firms, or leading auditing and consulting firms.
• Knowledge of data and AI tools will be a plus.
