The Role
The rapidly emerging fintech sector presents a world of HR opportunities and challenges. GSCF is an ambitious scale-up which demands a lot of its employees, requiring them to be highly skilled, agile, quick-thinking, and focused. Our HR team plays a crucial role to attract the right candidates and provide support during the employee’s employment journey. You will be part of a global HR team which consists of great professionals spread around the world (Malaysia, Hungary, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the United States), who are very committed to the success of GSCF and its employees.
We're on a mission to create an amazing workplace experience across South America! As part of our global HR team, you'll be the go-to person in Rio for all HR Operations related activities. A day is never the same because you manage all HR Operations related activities from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between. How You Will Make an Impact
Payroll and Benefits Wizardry
· Ensure everyone gets paid accurately and on time.
· Handle payroll queries like a pro.
· Build and maintain a great relationship with our payroll vendor.
· Keep us compliant with local payroll regulations and tax laws.
· Liaison with Health and Benefits broker to ensure compliance with local requirements.
HR Operations Guru
· Manage day-to-day HR operations, from employee records to benefits administration to HRIS administration.
· Be the first point of contact for employees and managers in Brazil, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
· Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes.
· Maintain our time recording system and manage holidays and absences.
· Monitor benefits and collaborate with HR colleagues to review and renew.
· Ensure employee safety and welfare.
· Support disciplinary actions or underperformance cases when needed.
· Work with Treasury and Tax to ensure timely payments.
· Knowledge of local laws and regulations including promotions, compensation, and terminations and staying informed of changes or new initiatives.
· General knowledge and working with a Union (Sindicato).
· Manage the office space and create and maintain a healthy office environment.
Recruitment Rockstar
· Support managers and HR colleagues during the recruitment process, including job postings, coordinating interviews, managing candidate communications, and budget monitoring.
· Liaise with recruiting agencies to ensure effective collaboration.
· Onboard and train new joiners.
Policy and Project Champion
· Implement global HR policies and procedures in Brazil.
· Adapt global policies to comply with local laws and cultural nuances.
· Communicate and train employees in new policies and procedures.
· Collaborate with the global HR team to roll out new policies and procedures.
· Participate in global HR projects.
Data Dynamo
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in the HR information system.
· Generate HR reports to support decision-making.
· Keep data trackers updated and ensure data integrity.
What You Bring to the Team:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
· Fluency in Portuguese and English, both spoken and written. Spanish language skills are a plus.
· Minimum 3 years of HR Generalist experience including Brazilian payroll.
· Legal experience a plus.
· Experience in a multinational company.
· Analytical and strong eye for detail.
· Pro-active and can-do approach.
· Warm personality with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
· Ability to multi-task and effectively manage own time.
· Great team-player with the flexibility to succeed and drive results in a fast-paced, high-charged environment.
· Strong Excel skills preferred.
· Ability to think out of the box for solutions.
