You’ll be the Senior Java Developer powering our mobile application. Your work ensures that field teams and partners get accurate, timely data on their iPads—whether they’re viewing dashboards, submitting forms or fetching data. Solid, well‑tested Java services are the backbone of our mobile experience.
What You’ll Work On:
Design and implement REST endpoints in Java 17+ with Spring Boot, tailored for low‑latency, high‑efficiency consumption by our React Native app.
Optimize payloads and error handling to guarantee a smooth UX over cellular networks.
Translate business rules (calculations, data submissions, flows) into reliable backend logic.
Coordinate with frontend peers to version APIs and manage backward compatibility.
Write comprehensive unit and integration tests (JUnit) to protect mobile workflows.
Enforce coding standards via peer reviews and static analysis.
Monitor production APIs (CloudWatch metrics, logs, alarms, Grafana) and troubleshoot issues—minimize mobile app errors and time‑outs.
Collaborate with DevOps to refine CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Terraform) for rapid, safe releases.
Engage in sprint ceremonies and backlog refinement—help define which mobile features come next.
Mentor mid‑level engineers on Spring Boot best practices and mobile integration patterns.
Requirements:
- Solid experience building backend services in Java 17+ and Spring Boot;
- API‑Focused: Proven experience crafting RESTful APIs for mobile or web clients, with attention to network constraints;
- Test‑Driven: Habitual TDD practitioner—your tests prevent regressions in critical mobile paths;
- Troubleshooter: Comfortable diving into production logs and metrics to resolve live-site issues quickly;
- Collaborator: Clear communicator who works hand‑in‑hand with frontend developers to deliver seamless mobile experiences;
- Intermediate/Advanced English.
