What you will do

This position reports to R&D Microbiology Manager. Based in São José dos Campos – SP, in a presential model.

Key Responsibilities

• Active participation in routine microbiology laboratory activities, including microorganism maintenance, growth promotion, biological indicator qualification, and equipment qualification and calibration.

• Support in and preparation for sterilization of materials, as well as preparation of culture media and reagents.

• Responsible for inventory control and purchasing of materials.

• Development and qualification of test methods for finished products and raw materials to support microbiological claims and demonstrations.

• Preparation of technical rationales to support investigations.

• Knowledge of microbiological standards and regulations to support internal and external audit processes

• Ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and global teams.

• Effective collaboration with project team members, adhering to priorities, checkpoints, and timelines to support project objectives.

• Proactive mindset focused on identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• A minimum degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or food industry is required, with a strong background in microbiology.

• Proven experience in test method qualification, test method transfer, and laboratory investigations is required.

• Advanced English, oral and written communication skills are required.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with consumer products, including self-care, skin care, skin cleansers, hair care, oral care, and/or baby care products, is highly preferred.
