Legal Contractor GSL

A multinational technology company is seeking an experienced Legal Contractor to join its Global Services Legal (GSL) team. This is an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

  Review global software products and provide practical legal risk analyses, mitigation strategies, and enable those products to go to market in a legally compliant and strategic manner;

  Work with Business teams and legal SMEs to evaluate the technology and use cases related to new products, including reviewing inbound technology, data supply, regulatory challenges and internal client facing templates in different geographies;

  
  


• 
  

  Develop clear communication messages, guidance, templates and trainings regarding the technology/data components of products for go to market teams, development teams and the rest of the Legal organization on how to bring software products to market in a legally compliant and strategic manner;

  
  


• 
  

  Help in design and implementation of tools and processes to enhance request management, legal risk assessments and coordination with business and other legal colleagues;

  
  


• 
  

  Preserve path to productization by providing guidance to transaction teams on operational and contractual measures to take before deal closure;

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with other teams within GSL and across legal, including colleagues in Resale, Strategic Partnering, Intellectual Property, Data Privacy, Regulatory and Contracting teams;

  
  


• 
  

  Support the Contracting team as product counsel and subject matter expert regarding playbooks, templates and occasional deal support;

  
  


• 
  

  Assist the team with legal research;

  
  


• 
  

  Support the development, review maintenance and improvement of processes, tools and efficiency initiatives across the team, which may include producing PowerPoint decks, workplans, and guidance materials.

  
  

Required Qualifications

• 
  

  Law degree, with an active membership in the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB);

  
  


• 
  

  Fluent English;

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a corporate or law firm setting, ideally advising on software including AI;

  
  


• 
  

  Technology transactional experience in drafting and negotiating technology-focused client-facing and/or vendor-facing agréments;

  
  


• 
  

  Working knowledge of data and security privacy issues, IP law, OSS licensing, and general product development considerations;

  
  


• 
  

  Understanding of the connection between inbound agreements and client-facing agréments;

  
  


• 
  

  High degree of organization, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams;

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).

  
  

• 
  

  Knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS), software licensing, and AI-related contract structures.
