Legal Counsel

Work model: Hybrid, with 3 days working onsite and 2 days working remotely (Mondays and Fridays)

Location: Itaim Bibi, São Paulo/SP

Start date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Contracts: Review, draft, and negotiate technology, distribution, and cooperation agreements in Portuguese and English;


• Template Localization: Adapt global templates to Brazilian law, including adjustments related to liability, indemnification, arbitration, and basic tax matters;


• Content Licensing: Structure and negotiate local content licensing agreements;


• Media & Sports Partnerships (YouTube Brazil): Negotiate audiovisual distribution, live-streaming, and sports partnership agreements;


• Product Launches & Regulatory Matters: Assess regulatory risks and local compliance requirements for products such as Search, Gemini, Maps, and YouTube.

Required Qualifications

• Active Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) registration;


• Fluent English, essential for negotiations with global teams and drafting legal documents;


• Availability to start immediately;


• Previous experience in the legal department of a technology, media, or telecommunications company.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Intellectual Property, Copyright Law, and distribution and monetization models within the digital ecosystem;


• Familiarity with digital regulations, including Artificial Intelligence, data scraping, and content moderation.
