This role is focused on building and evolving a modern, high-performance credit experience platform that delivers personalized financial offers in real time to customers. You will work on designing scalable backend systems that support complex, event-driven architectures and enable seamless orchestration across microservices. The position involves developing robust integrations using asynchronous messaging and applying modern architectural patterns to ensure maintainability, scalability, and resilience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions with high quality and strong technical standards. The environment is highly collaborative and engineering-driven, with a strong emphasis on clean architecture, automation, and continuous improvement. Accountabilities:
- Develop and evolve backend services in Java to support a real-time credit marketplace delivering personalized offers.
- Design and implement scalable integrations using asynchronous messaging systems to support complex distributed workflows.
- Apply and promote modern architectural patterns such as Hexagonal Architecture and Contract-First API design to ensure decoupled and maintainable systems.
- Build and maintain microservices orchestration, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance across distributed systems.
- Ensure end-to-end software quality through automated testing practices, including unit testing and integration validation.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to define technical solutions and ensure alignment across teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, code quality, and system design standards.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in backend development with Java (Java 11+).
- Solid knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security frameworks.
- Experience with modern architectural approaches, including Hexagonal Architecture and Contract-First API design.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or GCP Pub/Sub.
- Strong experience writing unit tests using JUnit and applying software testing best practices.
- Good understanding of clean code principles and scalable system design.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in agile teams.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, observability tools, and both relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, GCP Firestore) is considered a strong plus.
