In this role, you will join a high-impact technology environment focused on building scalable, data-driven solutions that power critical operations across the retail and supply chain ecosystem. You will act as a key technical leader, contributing across the full software lifecycle—from architecture design to implementation and continuous delivery. The position requires strong expertise in both backend and frontend development, with emphasis on Python and React, working on systems that process large volumes of data. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, influencing technical decisions and promoting engineering excellence through best practices, code reviews, and mentorship. Accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end software development projects, from technical conception and architecture definition to implementation and delivery.
- Design and evolve scalable systems, contributing to decisions around monolith and microservices architectures.
- Develop and maintain backend solutions in Python and frontend applications in React, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
- Build and optimize systems designed to handle large volumes of data, including SQL performance tuning and data processing workflows.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies (unit and integration tests).
- Conduct code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and mentor team members to strengthen technical capability across the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment, contributing to continuous improvement and product evolution.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in designing and developing complex, high-scale software systems.
- Proven experience with Python and React in production environments.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and clean code principles.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, relational databases, and SQL optimization.
- Experience with automated testing (unit and integration tests) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work with distributed systems and data-intensive applications.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical decisions across teams.
- Experience working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
- Ability to mentor and guide engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and technical growth.
- Nice to have: experience with Django or FastAPI, Trino, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
