Portuguese Speaking Agriculture Production Supervisor - Coffee Farm | Angola

Apt Resources is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Portuguese speaking Agriculture Production Supervisor to join our client’s team at a leading coffee production farm in Angola. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee all stages of the coffee production cycle — from land preparation to harvesting and post-harvest — ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to the farm’s agricultural plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Agricultural Operations:
• Monitor and execute activities including soil preparation, planting, crop management, harvesting, drying, processing, and coffee storage.
• Conduct daily field inspections, identifying pests, diseases, and deficiencies, and implementing corrective actions.
• Adjust and calibrate agricultural machinery and equipment for optimal performance.
• Ensure proper application of fertilizers and pesticides according to technical guidelines.
• Team Leadership:
• Coordinate and motivate the farm’s operational team, providing clear instructions and feedback.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support technical and behavioral development.
• Manage work schedules, vacation planning, and recruitment when needed.
• Promote training on coffee cultivation and good agricultural practices.
• Resource Management:
• Control use and storage of agricultural inputs, preventing waste.
• Request purchase of necessary materials and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
• Health, Safety & Environment:
• Enforce use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Promote correct waste disposal and sustainable practices.
• Reporting:
• Prepare periodic reports on activities, input usage, and crop conditions.
• Communicate issues affecting productivity or quality to management.

• Education: Agricultural Technician or Agronomy degree.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in agricultural management (preferably coffee cultivation) with proven team leadership experience.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Coffee drying, processing, grading, and storage.
• Productivity performance indicators.
• Production cycles, planting techniques, pruning, irrigation, pest & disease management.
