What You'll Be Doing:
- Design and execute CloudWalk’s public policy and government affairs strategy, aligned with the company’s business priorities and innovation agenda;
- Build and maintain strong, transparent relationships with government officials, regulatory agencies (e.g. Banco Central), legislative bodies, and industry associations;
- Monitor and analyze political, regulatory, and legislative developments that may impact CloudWalk’s operations or strategic direction;
- Represent CloudWalk in external meetings, consultations, public hearings, working groups, and forums;
- Collaborate with internal teams to translate regulatory insights into business guidance and proactive risk mitigation;
- Lead our participation in consultations and policy debates, drafting position papers and policy proposals;
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders on public affairs topics, helping guide early-stage initiatives with a policy and regulatory lens;
- Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and advocacy initiatives that support an innovation-friendly regulatory environment;
- Set the foundation for scalable public affairs operations — including tools, processes, and strategic partnerships.
What You Need To Succeed:
- Experience in public policy, government affairs, regulatory strategy, or related fields, preferably within fintech, financial services, tech;
- Deep knowledge of the Brazilian political and regulatory landscape, especially in the financial or payments ecosystem;
- Existing relationships or strong ability to engage with policymakers, regulators, and public institutions at the federal, state, and municipal levels;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess legal/policy documents and translate them into actionable business recommendations;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills;
- Strategic thinker with a proactive, autonomous, and collaborative mindset — comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment;
- Advanced written and verbal communication in both Portuguese and English;
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
