This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Architectural Engineering Expert based in Brazil.
This is an opportunity to apply your architectural engineering expertise to the development of advanced AI systems.
You will design technically rigorous problems that challenge frontier models across complex engineering domains.
Your work will contribute directly to high-quality training and evaluation data used to improve AI reasoning.
The role combines deep technical knowledge with research, problem-solving, and precise technical writing.
You will create deterministic challenges with verifiable answers and provide complete, validated solutions.
The environment is remote, flexible, and project-based, with opportunities to work on cutting-edge AI applications.
The initial engagement is part-time for approximately two months, with potential for extension.
Accountabilities
- Design advanced and challenging architectural engineering problems for AI training and evaluation.
- Develop deterministic problems with exactly one objectively verifiable correct answer.
- Produce complete, technically accurate, and independently verified solutions, clearly documenting the reasoning involved.
- Create problems covering areas such as building systems, structural design, HVAC, lighting, acoustics, energy performance, and building physics.
- Develop realistic scenarios that require the integration of multiple architectural and engineering constraints.
- Use computational modeling, BIM, energy simulation, or other engineering tools where appropriate to validate proposed solutions.
- Ensure all problems and solutions are technically precise, reproducible, logically sound, and clearly written in English.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Architectural Engineering, Building Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong research or industry experience in areas such as building systems, structural systems, energy performance, or building design.
- Strong quantitative reasoning and advanced technical problem-solving abilities.
- Solid knowledge of building physics and integrated building systems.
- Ability to create original, complex problems that accurately reflect real-world architectural engineering workflows.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a rigorous approach to technical accuracy and verification.
- Strong English technical writing skills and the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly.
- Experience with tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, EnergyPlus, Rhino/Grasshopper, IES VE, OpenStudio, MATLAB, Python, or similar platforms is an advantage.
- Background in sustainable building design, energy modeling, structural analysis, computational design, BIM workflows, engineering standards, technical assessment creation, or AI/model evaluation is desirable.
