Accountabilities:
As a Legal Professional — Voice and Video Contributor, you will take part in structured yet unscripted discussions designed to help assess and improve AI systems' understanding of legal reasoning. Your responsibilities will include:
Discuss legal topics relevant to your professional background, such as commercial contracts, employment law, corporate governance, privacy, or intellectual property.
Analyze fictional legal scenarios, compare competing interpretations, and explain practical considerations and trade-offs.
Clearly defend your professional perspective using sound reasoning, relevant examples, and domain knowledge.
Engage constructively with other participants by challenging assumptions, asking follow-up questions, and responding to counterarguments.
Demonstrate critical thinking, careful listening, and the ability to reconsider an argument when presented with compelling evidence or reasoning.
Participate in paid, recorded conversations that support AI training and evaluation.
Use only fictional or appropriately anonymized examples, avoiding confidential, privileged, or otherwise sensitive professional information.
Follow the agreed recording, usage, and licensing terms for each assignment.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an experienced legal professional with strong subject-matter knowledge and the communication skills needed to discuss complex issues naturally and precisely. Professional acting experience is not required; legal expertise and conversational ability are the priorities. Key requirements include:
Professional experience as an attorney, legal counsel, paralegal, or in another substantive legal role.
Strong knowledge of at least one legal specialty relevant to the discussion.
Fluency in spoken communication in the language required for the session.
Ability to sustain an in-depth, unscripted professional conversation.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
Confidence in presenting and defending a position while remaining open to alternative interpretations.
Excellent listening skills and a willingness to engage respectfully with differing viewpoints.
A quiet recording environment, reliable internet connection, clear microphone, and webcam.
Comfort appearing on video with your face visible, with filters and background blur turned off.
Ability to provide details about your legal background, areas of specialization, jurisdiction, availability, time zone, and spoken languages.
Benefits:
Hourly compensation: $40–$100 per hour, depending on the assignment and agreed terms.
