This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality software solutions within collaborative Agile engineering teams. You will play a key part in building reliable, scalable applications by designing and implementing modern quality practices across the software lifecycle. Working alongside engineers, product specialists, DevOps professionals, and architects, you will help improve testing strategies, automation capabilities, and delivery standards. The position combines technical expertise, problem-solving, and continuous improvement in a modern engineering environment. Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and test suites to support reliable software delivery.
- Create comprehensive test strategies, plans, and quality approaches for complex enterprise applications.
- Execute different testing activities, including unit, component, integration, system, end-to-end, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Apply modern testing methodologies such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD), and risk-based testing approaches.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and promote shift-left testing practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain test data, documentation, and quality-related artefacts.
- Collaborate closely with Software Engineers through agile practices, code discussions, and collaborative development approaches.
- Identify, investigate, and support the resolution of software defects and quality issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing testing standards, automation practices, and engineering processes.
- Support knowledge sharing and mentor junior team members when needed.
- Ensure software solutions meet established quality, security, and delivery standards.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience as a Quality Engineer, QA Automation Engineer, Software Test Engineer, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
- Experience working within Agile software development teams.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and the complete software testing lifecycle.
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
- Solid understanding of both functional and non-functional testing approaches.
- Experience using Git and GitLab.
- Familiarity with enterprise-scale software systems and complex application environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a detail-oriented, quality-focused mindset.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have skills:
- Experience with testing tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, or JUnit.
- Familiarity with tools like Postman, Gatling, or OWASP ZAP.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, or AWS environments.
- Experience with accessibility testing standards such as WCAG.
- Background in performance testing, security testing, or software reliability practices.
- Experience mentoring engineers or sharing technical knowledge.
- Relevant degree, certifications, or professional training.
- Existing or eligibility for security clearance processes.
