We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to take full ownership of cloud infrastructure within a fast-paced, mission-driven healthcare environment. This role provides the opportunity to work on large-scale, distributed applications, with a strong focus on automation, reliability, and security. You will collaborate closely with software engineers to enhance system stability, optimize costs, and implement best practices for cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate thrives in a proactive, hands-on environment and is passionate about designing and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure. You will play a key role in shaping the technical foundation of healthcare-grade systems, leveraging AWS and automation tools to deliver impactful results.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Pulumi, ensuring reproducible, version-controlled environments.
- Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, supporting seamless development-to-production workflows for Python/Django and React applications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to uphold high standards of security and compliance, leveraging automation to maintain healthcare data protection requirements.
- Optimize and scale AWS services (ECS, RDS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB) for high-performance, distributed applications.
- Implement advanced monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain 24/7 operational reliability of critical services.
- Partner with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to define requirements, troubleshoot production issues, and implement best practices.
- 8+ years of professional experience in DevOps or Application Engineering with integrated Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Advanced expertise in AWS, with experience deploying and managing scalable, cloud-native architectures.
- Proven experience with Pulumi, Terraform, or CloudFormation for managing complex infrastructure.
- Strong automation mindset, with expertise in CI/CD workflows and scripting in Python and Bash.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes.
- Deep knowledge of monitoring and observability tools, e.g., New Relic or equivalent.
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills to guide technical initiatives and engage stakeholders effectively.
