Accountabilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, supporting professional development and performance management
- Collaborate with Product Management to provide technical guidance and ensure alignment of software design with business goals
- Oversee design, development, testing, and deployment of cloud-native applications and services
- Promote best practices in coding standards, architecture, TDD/BDD, and software security principles
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing existing systems, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions
- Foster cross-team collaboration and innovation, ensuring reusability of frameworks and adherence to architecture governance
- Monitor team performance, measure success metrics, and guide short- and long-term planning to achieve organizational objectives
- Support operational excellence through proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, and troubleshooting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering
- 5+ years in a management or supervisory role, leading a team of at least 5 developers
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive results
- Expertise in strategic thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ASP.NET RESTful API design, Kafka/event-driven architecture, modern web frameworks (Angular/React), RDBMS, NoSQL, and cloud-native applications
- Understanding of software security principles and OWASP guidelines
- Familiarity with AI-driven code development tools and modern development workflows
- Nice-to-have: Helm/ArgoCD, Terraform, GitHub Actions, GraphQL, Azure
