This role focuses on driving cloud-native modernization initiatives through advanced platform integration and backend engineering expertise.
You will lead application migrations, deployment automation, and integration activities across modern Kubernetes environments.
The position requires strong technical ownership, problem-solving skills, and collaboration with engineering teams to deliver reliable solutions.
You will work with cloud platforms, container technologies, and automation tools to improve application scalability and performance.

Accountabilities:
The role is responsible for leading application modernization efforts, managing platform integrations, and ensuring successful deployment and operation of cloud-native workloads.
- Design and execute application migrations into Kubernetes clusters.
- Develop and maintain deployment automation solutions for containerized applications.
- Configure and deploy workloads using Helm charts and Kubernetes-native resources.
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment, integration, and runtime issues across environments.
- Validate application performance, stability, and behavior after migration activities.
- Collaborate with platform, DevOps, and application teams to define integration requirements and technical solutions.
- Build and maintain Kubernetes networking configurations and integration patterns.
- Support cloud modernization initiatives across AWS and Azure environments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, migration processes, runbooks, and post-migration validation materials.
- Contribute to improving platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in backend engineering, platform integrations, and cloud-native technologies, with strong automation skills and the ability to work on complex modernization projects.
- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, platform integration engineering, or related technical roles.
- Strong Python development skills for automation, scripting, and internal tooling.
- Proven experience migrating applications to Kubernetes environments and configuring deployments.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies and managing containerized workloads.
- Experience using Helm charts for application packaging and deployment.
- Experience implementing deployment automation for cloud-native platforms.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes networking and integration patterns.
- Experience supporting cloud modernization projects using AWS and Azure.
- Ability to validate application performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues after migrations.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills when working with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Experience with OpenSearch, Ansible, Fluent Bit, Keycloak, or PostgreSQL is a plus.
- Previous participation in large-scale platform modernization initiatives is desirable.
