This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Test Engineer Sr in Brazil.
This role is designed for an experienced QA professional who will take ownership of testing strategy and execution across complex software systems in an Agile environment. You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and Scrum teams to ensure high-quality delivery throughout the software development lifecycle. The position involves designing and executing both manual and automated tests across functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end scenarios. You will analyze system architecture and requirements to define effective test approaches, ensuring strong coverage and reliable product performance. Beyond execution, you will contribute to improving testing frameworks, supporting automation initiatives, and enhancing release readiness. This is a highly collaborative and technical role suited for someone who enjoys solving complex problems and working in fast-paced, quality-driven environments.
Accountabilities:
- Lead test strategy and execution across functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing for complex applications.
- Analyze business requirements and system architecture to define effective test approaches and coverage.
- Design, develop, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual and automated testing.
- Execute manual and automated tests, document results, and perform root cause analysis for identified defects.
- Collaborate with Agile teams, participating in ceremonies such as planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with developers, system engineers, and stakeholders to ensure timely issue identification and resolution.
- Support automation framework development and contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration and test optimization.
- Evaluate product quality and support release readiness decisions.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues clearly to all relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software testing or test engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, QA principles, and software development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing in Linux and Windows environments.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming (Python, C#, or similar).
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., UFT, Coded UI, or similar frameworks).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and defect tracking systems.
- Knowledge of databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in Agile, cross-functional teams.
