This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Visualization Engineer based in Brazil.
This role sits at the core of enterprise data-driven decision-making, transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable insights through scalable and high-performance visualization solutions. You will play a key role in designing and optimizing BI architectures that empower self-service analytics across business teams. The position combines strong technical expertise in data modeling, SQL, and visualization tools with close collaboration across data engineering and business stakeholders. You will contribute to major transformation initiatives, including BI platform migrations and modernization efforts, ensuring seamless adoption and high data reliability. The environment is highly collaborative, global, and innovation-driven, with strong emphasis on AI-enabled workflows and continuous improvement. Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and optimize semantic data models in Tableau to enable scalable self-service analytics and enterprise-level reporting.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards, datasets, and reports with a strong focus on usability, accuracy, and performance.
- Partner with data engineering teams to define, validate, and integrate data pipelines (especially in Databricks) into BI solutions.
- Translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and reusable BI and data visualization solutions.
- Lead and support the migration from Looker to Tableau/Databricks, ensuring continuity, adoption, and performance optimization.
- Implement and enforce best practices in data governance, security, and performance tuning across BI assets.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality and dashboard performance issues to ensure reliable decision-making.
Requirements:
- Proven experience developing and maintaining dashboards using Tableau in enterprise environments.
- Strong background in data visualization and delivering scalable BI solutions.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience handling large and complex datasets.
- Solid understanding of dimensional data modeling principles.
- Experience with ETL processes and data integration methodologies.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate them into clear, business-friendly insights.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced English proficiency is required.
- Familiarity with tools such as Databricks and Looker is highly desirable.
