Senior Frontend & Mobile (React) AI-First Engineer (LATAM)

Lead-level frontend and mobile ownership. AI-first delivery. Architecture decisions.

We are looking for a highly senior engineer who can operate at Lead Engineer level across frontend and mobile applications.

This is not a role for someone who only executes tickets. We need someone who can make architecture decisions independently, design scalable frontend and mobile systems, and turn ambiguous product needs into production-ready applications.

This is a high-ownership role on a lean team. The default mode of execution is AI-first. Engineers use AI agents and tools such as Cursor, Claude, and similar platforms to accelerate research, planning, implementation, testing, and refinement, but ownership stays fully with the engineer. The person in this role must be able to use AI to move fast while maintaining strong judgment around architecture, correctness, performance, usability, maintainability, and overall product quality.

The work

• Design and own frontend and mobile application architecture across React, React Native, and Next.js

• Make architecture decisions independently, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, performance, and reliability

• Build production-grade applications using TypeScript across web and mobile environments

• Work with GraphQL APIs and define clean integration patterns across frontend, mobile, and API layers

• Define scalable engineering patterns across React, React Native, Next.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL

• Own application quality standards across architecture, code structure, testing, responsiveness, and developer experience

• Define technical direction, not just implementation details

• Set and enforce quality standards across both AI-generated and manually written code

• Use AI-first and agentic development workflows with tools such as Cursor and Claude to accelerate delivery without compromising engineering standards

• Translate ambiguous product needs into clear technical solutions

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications across web and mobile

• Collaborate directly with clients to ensure smooth communication and strong understanding of requirements

• Contribute to system design, performance strategy, testing strategy, and engineering productivity

• Apply a basic understanding of native mobile development concepts in Kotlin/Java and Objective-C/Swift when working with React Native integrations, debugging, or platform-specific requirements

This is a fast-paced environment with real production stakes. You will be expected to move quickly, think at systems level, and make strong technical decisions with minimal hand-holding. Candidate requirements

• Strong proficiency in React, React Native, Next.js, and TypeScript

• Strong experience working with GraphQL APIs

• Extensive AI/ML or agentic development experience using Cursor, Claude, or similar tools

• Basic understanding of native mobile development concepts in Kotlin/Java and Objective-C/Swift

• Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining production web and mobile applications

• Strong understanding of performance, responsiveness, maintainability, and overall software quality

• Proven ability to make architecture decisions independently and own technical direction

• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders

• Full-time availability in a remote environment

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on development experience

• Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to pass a background check with good references
