What you'll do
As a Maintenance Engineer in our Testing Laboratory, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our industrial test setups reflect real-world conditions. Your expertise in industrial machinery, maintenance best practices, and diagnostic tools will help shape our testing methodology and improve the accuracy of our AI models.
You will work closely with our testing and data science teams, providing insights into real-world industrial operations, from proper machine setup to best practices for maintenance and reliability. Your daily activities will involve machine assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting, as well as operating and analyzing data from tools such as vibration analyzers, shaft alignment systems, and thermal cameras.
We’re looking for someone with extensive experience in industrial maintenance and reliability, who understands what works in the field, what doesn’t, and how to replicate real-world conditions in a controlled lab environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial machinery in the testing lab, ensuring test conditions accurately represent real-world operations.
- Apply best practices in maintenance, alignment, balancing, and troubleshooting to optimize machine performance and data quality.
- Operate and analyze data from vibration analyzers, shaft alignment tools, thermal cameras, and other diagnostic instruments.
- Inspect and diagnose faults in bearings, gears, and other mechanical components, identifying common failure modes and their root causes.
- Provide expert insights into common industrial maintenance challenges and best practices.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define test conditions that reflect real-world failure modes and operational scenarios.
- Assist in the development of structured test procedures and documentation of maintenance and reliability methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and industrial best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Extensive hands-on experience with industrial machinery and maintenance, including alignment, balancing, and failure analysis.
- Strong knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques, including vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and oil analysis.
- Proficiency with vibration analyzers, shaft alignment tools, and data acquisition systems.
- Experience with fault identification and inspection of bearings, gears, and rotating equipment, understanding wear patterns and failure mechanisms.
- Understanding of common industrial equipment, such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, and rotating machinery.
- Familiarity with condition monitoring techniques and root cause analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose mechanical and reliability issues.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders.
- Experience with project documentation and maintenance.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with industrial automation and control systems.
- Knowledge of lubrication best practices and tribology.
- Familiarity with industrial IoT and sensor-based monitoring.
- Experience working with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Prior experience in testing environments or reliability engineering.
- Completion of vibration analysis training (CATV Modules I to V), covering diagnostics in rotating machinery, bearings, gear systems, and rotor balancing using vibration analyzers.
