Job Summary

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead technical decisions for internal developer platforms, service catalogs, and tooling ecosystems while establishing architectural standards and best practices;
• Provide technical mentorship, code reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions to elevate team capabilities and ensure consistent development practices;
• Create and enhance internal APIs, CLIs, web portals, and automation workflows that enable development teams to provision resources and deploy applications independently;
• Define technical standards, create comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and maintain knowledge bases for platform usage and troubleshooting;
• Work with product teams, security, and infrastructure groups to understand requirements and translate them into platform capabilities and roadmap priorities;
• Design monitoring, logging, and analytics systems to track platform adoption, performance, and developer satisfaction metrics;
• Conduct user research, gather feedback, and continuously improve platform usability while evangelizing platform capabilities across the organization;
• Serve as escalation point for platform issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to improve system reliability;
• Research emerging tools, conduct proof-of-concepts, and make technical recommendations for platform evolution and modernization;
• Prioritize refactoring efforts, establish security and compliance controls, and ensure platform scalability and maintainability over time.

Essential Skills

• Experience building developer platforms, internal tooling, or platform-as-a-product solutions;
• Strong experience with developer portal frameworks (Backstage, Port, Datadog or similar) and service catalog management;
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform);
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and implementation (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins);
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Go, or Bash) for automation;
• Experience with full stack development, specifically with Vue.js, React and Node.js;
• Experience with workflow automation and developer productivity tools.
