About the Role

Platform Science is seeking an experienced and motivated Product Owner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a key contributor to the successful development and launch of our commercial software products, bridging the gap between high-level product strategy and day-to-day execution. This role requires a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to translate business needs into detailed product requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Execution & Delivery: Responsible for supporting the end-to-end execution and launch of products.


• Agile Team Engagement: Work in an Agile environment, continuously reviewing business needs, refining priorities, outlining milestones and deliverables, and identifying opportunities and risks for the assigned product area.


• Requirements Translation: Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements, including detailed features, user stories, and clear acceptance test criteria.


• Backlog Management: Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders and ensuring the development team has a ready stream of work.


• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablement.


• Strategic Support: Partner with Product Management, stakeholders, and customers to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization.


• Problem Solving: Nurture ideas and solutions to existing customer problems and work with the product development team to create a strong end product.


• Data & Improvement: Extract and retrieve information and data sets to improve upon the software and contribute to determining roadmaps for products in the creation phase.


• Communication: Communicate effectively with team members to achieve project goals, and schedule and lead necessary meetings to identify issues and fixes for projects.


• Team Alignment: Work closely with other Product Owners, delivery leadership, and scrum teams throughout the development process.


• Customer and Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a primary customer-facing contact, leveraging outstanding communication and presentation skills to gather feedback, manage expectations, and clearly articulate product vision and updates to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• English Proficiency: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills are required.


• Experience: in commercial software development or a related technical field.


• Agile Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Agile principles and processes, demonstrated through practical application.


• Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


• Track Record: Successful track record of developing and delivering products within deadlines.


• Analytical Skills: Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.


• Mindset: Creative and innovative thinker with a passion for continuous improvement.
