Software Engineer - NextJS [Talents Bench]

We are a professional services firm providing services in software engineering and the cloud. We do Technical consulting, Programming & Quality Assurance, DevOps, Applications, UX, Product management, and Project management.

Metal Toad is a fully remote company, offering all team members the ability to work from home. For this opportunity, the selected candidate must be available to work Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time (PST).

Although Metal Toad is a remote company, we are currently seeking contractors residing in Brazil for this position. Compensation will be made in Brazilian Reais (R$), in accordance with the local currency of the country where the position is located. Job description

The NextJS Software Engineer position at Metal Toad requires experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. You will be part of a talented team that works on mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities 

Planning

• Experience with or knowledge of the following technologies:
  
  
  
  • 3+ years of experience with Javascript
  
  
  • 2+ years of experience with NextJS
  
  
  • REST APIs development and deployment
  
  
  • JSON modeling and usage
  
  
  • Querying and modeling using a relational data store.
  
  
  • Using package managers such as npm or pip
  
  
  • Using Git for source control.
  
  
  
  


• Experience in TDD and/or BDD.
  
  
  
  • Strives to enhance project test coverage.
  
  
  
  

Nice to have

• AWS Certifications or be willing to get certified.


• Interest in Generative AI technologies.


• 2+ years of experience with React
