Software Test Automation Engineer - Indaiatuba/SP

As a Software Test Automation Engineer at John Deere, based in the Indaiatuba/SP unit, you will be responsible for contribute to the development, execution, and continuous improvement of automated test solutions for embedded software systems. you will work closely with you supervisor and cross-functional teams to ensure software quality, reduce manual testing, and accelerate feedback loops to development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead test automation efforts for specific feature sets or platforms;
• Mentor engineers and interns on automation best practices and tools;
• Drive improvements in test coverage, execution efficiency, and defect detection;
• Represent the team in technical discussions and contribute to roadmap planning;
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for embedded software platforms;
• Collaborate with developers, systems engineers, and validation teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria;
• Execute test cases in SIL, HIL, and VIL environments and analyze results to identify defects;
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to test framework enhancements;
• Document test plans, procedures, and results in compliance with internal quality standards;
• Support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with automated test integration.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field;
• Advanced English: broad vocabulary, good grammar, conducts meetings, argues, negotiates and provides training;
• Experience in embedded software, testing and/or automation;
• Familiarity with Python, Jenkins, GitHub, and test automation frameworks;
• Understanding of CAN/Ethernet protocols and embedded systems basics;
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills;
• Ability to lead initiatives and coach junior engineers.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience with test-driven development and performance testing;
• Experience with ECU-Test, Selenium, or similar tools;
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools;
• ISTQB certification or equivalent;
• Agile/Scrum methodology familiarity.
