Department Overview

The LACR Services Cybersecurity Department is responsible for the cybersecurity posture of MSI's Build, Own, Operate (BOO) Land Mobile Radio networks. In addition, Department members act as catalysts and enablers of Cybersecurity Services Sales throughout the region, and also assist in the implementation (and often, lead the implementations directly) of Cybersecurity services sold.

Job Description

The Role 

We are seeking a highly driven Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Latin America and Caribbean (LACR) Service Business organization. Based in São Paulo, Brazil, this position serves as the critical technical authority for Motorola Solutions’ cybersecurity initiatives across the region.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the NIST Cybersecurity Framework across our mission-critical communications networks and premier enterprise contracts. You will act as the regional expert, independently executing Cyber Health Checks, Risk Assessments, and advanced cybersecurity professional services. Operating at the intersection of engineering and business, you will partner closely with our Sales, PreSales, and global Cybersecurity teams to deliver world-class security solutions and drive regional revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the regional subject matter expert for cybersecurity programs, driving the adoption of the NIST framework (Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover).

• Independently execute complex Cyber Health Checks, Risk Assessments, and Threat Management strategies for large-scale customers.

• Partner collaboratively with global engineering and commercial teams to position, design, and deploy cybersecurity professional services.

• Act as a technical bridge, synthesizing highly complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business insights for senior leadership and external clients.

Basic Requirements

Key Qualifications:

• Language: Full professional fluency in both Portuguese and English is required (working proficiency in Spanish is a strong plus).

• Experience: A highly technical, results-oriented background with a demonstrated track record of engineering accomplishments and operational impact.

• Certifications: CompTIA Security+ is required. Must also possess at least one advanced certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP) OR have a verifiable, demonstrated record of exceptional operational impact and advanced engineering expertise in lieu of a second certification.

• Methodology: Deep knowledge of, and a strong drive to become a master in, the NIST framework, Risk Assessment, and Threat Management methodologies.

• Communication: Highly articulate with a concise, crisp communication style; comfortable navigating technical discussions with diverse stakeholders up to the executive level.
