This role sits at the core of a high-impact healthtech environment where technology directly improves the experience of millions of healthcare professionals and patients. As a senior technical leader in frontend engineering, you will shape the architecture, performance, and usability of large-scale digital products used across the healthcare ecosystem. You will play a key role in defining frontend standards, improving scalability, and ensuring accessibility and reliability across all user interfaces. Working closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers, you will help transform complex healthcare workflows into simple, intuitive, and high-performing experiences. This position combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership and mentoring responsibilities. Your contributions will directly influence the quality of healthcare delivery and the evolution of digital prescription systems in Brazil.
Accountabilities:
- Act as a technical reference for frontend engineering, contributing to architectural decisions and high-level technical direction.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and high-performance user interfaces using modern frontend technologies.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver robust, user-centric solutions.
- Improve frontend performance, accessibility (WCAG standards), SEO, and overall user experience continuously.
- Develop clean, efficient, and well-documented code while promoting engineering best practices.
- Mentor and support other engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and technical growth within the team.
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies, tools, and frameworks to drive innovation.
- Define and enforce frontend standards, guidelines, and design system practices across teams.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong experience in large-scale frontend applications with technical leadership responsibilities.
- Advanced knowledge of React, TypeScript, JavaScript ES6+, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG), and SEO.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Mocha.
- Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack, Babel, or Vite.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control workflows.
- Nice to have: experience building and maintaining design systems.
- Nice to have: exposure to cloud environments such as AWS.
- Strong soft skills including collaboration, communication, adaptability, and a product-focused mindset.
