About the role
The Strategic Partnerships Manager takes over after deal signature and owns everything that happens next; project implementation, the relationship, contract renewal and expansion. There's a commercial quota, but expansion is earned through trust and results you can point to.
Success in this role looks like renewal and expansion on the strength of demonstrated results, with implementation delivered to plan, risks surfaced early, and relationships that hold firm through political and organizational change.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the post-signature transition and build a multi-year account plan covering stakeholders, delivery commitments and value realization.
- Build durable relationships across political, executive, technical, academic and operational level and rebuild the network quickly when leaders or priorities change.
- Stay close to implementation without owning delivery: compare commitments with actual performance, spot gaps early and mobilize the responsible teams.
- Translate adoption, learner outcomes and customer feedback into a clear value narrative for senior stakeholders.
- Own renewal and expansion strategy: opportunity identification, proposals, negotiation, contract timing and a credible forecast.
- Align delivery, customer success, product, legal and finance teams around one customer plan and a consistent external message.
How success will be measured
- Gross and net revenue retention, renewal rate, expansion ARR and on-time contract completion.
- Account health, executive engagement and continuity through stakeholder transitions.
- Progress against adoption, delivery and value-realization commitments.
Experience and capabilities
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-year institutional accounts, ideally in public sector, international education, NGOs or large enterprises with significant stakeholder complexity.
- A track record of renewals and expansion in long-cycle, trust-based environments.
- Strong delivery-partnership instincts: able to challenge constructively and drive accountability without taking over execution.
- Calm under ambiguity, with the resilience to rebuild trust when client organizations or political leadership change.
- Motivated by education and development outcomes as well as sustainable commercial growth.
- Natural curiosity and commercial acumen, with commitment to continuously learning and adapting.
Why working at Efekta is great
- A balance of autonomy and support to develop and follow your own sales strategy.
- A start up fast paced environment with real potential to create transformative impact in schools and universities around the world if we succeed.
- Surrounded by passionate talented international teammates who are experts in education, technology and growth and who believe nothing is impossible.
- A chance to participate in our Global Experience Program, spending time in other offices and teams around the world.
- A competitive salary (based on track record) and benefits packages
- Celebrations, global gatherings and anniversary markers, including paid sabbaticals.
