Position Summary


The Salesforce Team Lead will oversee the day-to-day management, optimization, and strategic evolution of our Salesforce ecosystem at a growing software company. This role combines hands-on Salesforce administration with team leadership, driving scalable solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Experience Cloud. The ideal candidate is a certified Salesforce Administrator with strong technical expertise and a passion for developing and mentoring high-performing teams.


 


Key Responsibilities


Leadership & Team Management



  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Salesforce administrators and developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

  • Provide coaching, career development, and performance management for team members.

  • Manage resource planning, team assignments, and operational priorities.

  • Partner closely with the Sr. Director of Business Applications to define team strategy, roadmap, and operating best practices.


 


Salesforce Platform Strategy & Ownership



  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Salesforce capabilities, configurations, and best practices.

  • Oversee the architecture, administration, and enhancement of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Communities.

  • Ensure platform stability, security, governance, and compliance with internal standards.

  • Translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions and lead the team in implementing them.


 


Project Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration



  • Partner with functional leaders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, Finance, and others to gather requirements and drive system improvements.

  • Prioritize and deliver enhancements, integrations, automation, and new functionality.

  • Coordinate with IT, business owners, and external partners to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Establish and champion Salesforce development standards, release management processes, and documentation practices.


 


Hands-On Administration & Problem Solving



  • Perform advanced configuration when needed (flows, validation rules, reports/dashboards, user management, etc.).

  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and guide the team in root cause analysis and resolution.

  • Review and approve technical designs and solution architectures.


 


Qualifications


Required



  • Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM-201) or higher-level certifications.

  • 5–8+ years of experience working with Salesforce in an admin, solutions, or development capacity.

  • Experience managing or leading a team of Salesforce admins, developers, or business systems professionals.

  • Strong knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Communities (Experience Cloud).

  • Proven ability to lead technical teams, build trust, and inspire high performance.

  • Demonstrated success translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.


 


Preferred



  • Additional Salesforce certifications (e.g., Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Service Cloud Consultant).

  • Experience in the software or SaaS industry.

  • Familiarity with integration tools (e.g., Boomi), APIs, and modern data flows.

  • Strong understanding of change management and release management best practices.
