Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for communicating, creating, distributing and managing technical information on all WellBoss product lines, both internally and externally to customers. Tactically, this will include: creating technical spec sheets, recommending products based on well conditions, creating EDR’s (Engineering Development Requests), providing applications support, creating training information and providing training to WellBoss employees, managing projects related to new product development, product improvement and sustaining engineering efforts, creating presentations and presenting to WB customers with sales team and other duties requested by Director of Technical Services.


Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Technical Coordinator is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

  • Work and communicate closely within the Technical Services department and collaborate on various product line technical related tasks and execute with urgency.
  •  Manage projects related to new product development and existing product lines through EDR’s (Engineering Development Requests) and drive accountability within different groups of the company to complete tasks within a timely manner.
  • Create product line test plans when required and participate in the execution of the testing and writing of reports.
  • Present innovative approaches, ideas, and solutions for continual improvement of products internally and externally to WellBoss customers.
  • Create technical related documentation including CAR’s (Corrective Action Reports), case studies, technical presentations, technical data pages, Product installation workbooks, brochures and marketing material.
  • Prepare technical papers on WellBoss technology and present at conferences.
  • Travel to field locations when requested for product installations, testing, data collection and provide technical support training to operations team.
  • Provide applications support by ensuring products are fit for purpose for well conditions intended for use. This will include reviewing well designs, creating tubing movement calculations, performing mathematical calculations and reviewing against product technical capabilities.
  • Support sales team on bid packages with technical requirements and requested technical data.
  • Carry out work assignments to the highest quality level.
  • Travel globally when required to support WellBoss product line.
  • Be familiar with company products, policies, and procedures.
  • Accountable for performing duties in a safe manner and wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Performing other duties as directed by Director of Technical Services.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The Technical Coordinator must at a minimum possess the following:

  • STEM Degree related to petroleum tech, mechanical engineering, mathematics and physics or

equivalent combination of High School diploma and technical experience preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in completion tools. Experience with multistage fracturing systems

preferred.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently is preferred.
  • Experience with downhole completion, wellbore construction and multi-stage fracturing tools.
  • Ability to perform basic computer skills, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including

Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to liaise professionally with team members and system users.
  • Ability to maintain the highest standard of personal conduct in performing all duties.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks with moderate supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • On call availability 24/7.
  • Cognitive skills to include the ability to learn, to process thoughts and apply knowledge, to analyze and reason, and to evaluate and make appropriate decisions to achieve business goals and solve problems.

TRAVEL

  

Capability to travel within the GCC region.

Up to 25%.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The Technical Coordinator must be able to:

  • Operate basic office machines, such as a computer, copy machine, fax, scanner, etc.
  • Lift a minimum of 50lbs., repeatedly, without assistance and up to 100lbs with assistance.
  • Push/pull heavy objects with the proper equipment.
  • Wear the appropriate PPE when required (i.e., safety glasses or side shields, steel-toe footwear, etc.).
  • Stand for long periods of time; up to 8-12 hours a day.
