Here’s what the job entails

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software solutions that support processes across Danske Commodities Brazil’s value chain. You will be working closely with a skilled software development team consisting of 8 employees in Denmark and one in São Paulo. Additionally, you will be surrounded by energy trading domain experts in the office in São Paulo.

By providing you with ideal conditions to grow your expertise within both software development and the energy trading domain, you will, over time, assume substantial responsibility for the software portfolio at Danske Commodities Brazil.

More specifically, your responsibilities include:

• designing, developing and maintaining software in a complex domain


• working closely with colleagues in front- and backoffice to find elegant solutions to business problems


• collaborating with teams in Denmark to ensure software in Brazil is developed using company-wide software development principles


• innovating on existing tools and processes to enhance your colleagues’ commercial capabilities and productivity

You will be part of our vibrant office in the heart of Brazil’s largest city, São Paulo, working with a talented team of 15 dedicated colleagues in trading, finance, risk, legal, and administration. We are seeking a talented student who combines technical expertise with a proactive, innovative mindset and an eagerness to learn. The ideal candidate is motivated by taking responsibility and can work independently, while valuing teamwork and collaboration with end-users.

• are enrolled in a relevant education within software engineering, computer science or similar


• have basic programming skills


• are curious and take great interest in understanding your end-users needs


• are proficient in English and Portuguese, both written and spoken


• are reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality solutions


• are a great team player with a positive, collaborative attitude

Please note that prior knowledge of the energy sector is not required for this role.
