We’re looking for people with a deep passion for baseball and its power to positively impact youth. If that sounds like you, we want you on our team!

About Jays Care Foundation

Jays Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Toronto Blue Jays, harnesses the power of baseball to create positive impacts for youth across Canada. Baseball is at the heart of everything we do. It’s more than a sport; it’s a tool for youth development, building character, resilience, and belonging. Through award-winning baseball-for-development programs, we partner with communities nationwide to help children and youth facing barriers unlock their potential.

About the Role

Jays Care Seasonal positions are designed to provide an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable work experience in the rewarding charitable sport sector. Jays Care Foundation is looking for passionate, motivated, and enthusiastic individuals to assist in various Jays Care Foundation Program positions. Candidates can expect to travel to various communities and partake in major initiatives, projects, and programs that have a national reach and large impacts on communities we work with. This opportunity will provide a dynamic, fast paced, and unique learning experience for individuals with ambition, drive, and immense potential.

Please note that these are seasonal positions aligned with our high season, spanning from approximately February-August 2026. These positions are full-time contracts.

Jays Care Foundation is looking to hire a highly motivated and experienced Administrative Coordinator to support Large-Scale Tournaments and RBI Summer Edition.  The successful applicant is expected to work in-office at the Rogers Centre, unless otherwise assigned to off-site training workshops, tournament days and occasional remote duties as determined.

Large‑Scale Tournaments are baseball and softball events that provide schools and community partners with the opportunity to bring a team to a Jays Care–hosted tournament, showcase their skill development, experience a positive and healthy competitive environment, and participate in organized gameplay. The Administrative Coordinator will support these tournaments by managing event logistics, such as scheduling, database management, and vendor coordination, developing information packages and serving as the primary point of communication with event vendors.

RBI Summer Edition is an initiative that offers daily programming in July and August for over 2500 youth (ages 6-13) attending Toronto District School Board (TDSB) Elementary Summer School. The program offers children from priority neighborhoods enriching baseball activities and experiences that support youth development. The Administrative Coordinator will support this program as an organizer of program logistics (travel, supplies, vendors) and serve as the primary communicator with participant families.

As an Administrative Coordinator, you will:

  • Communicate effectively with athletes, families, coaches and partners by email, phone and in-person.

  • Demonstrate maturity and capability of working independently

  • Respond to urgent and emerging situations with swift and measured decision making

  • Experience designing and supporting projects and events, including database management, partner communication, and the development of program packages and activities.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide baseball leadership across all skill levels, including leading practice sessions, developing showcases, responding to baseball‑related inquiries, and ensuring programs are accessible and engaging for all participants.

  • Proven capacity to build strong, respectful relationships with communities we serve including indigenous communities, schools, and partner organizations to support successful participation in tournaments and camps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, negotiate and procure goods & services for program operations

  • Plan and coordinate program logistics, including facility bookings, equipment needs, schedules, and overall alignment with organizational goals, safety standards, and equity principles.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for educators, families, coaches, and community partners, providing clear communication and responsive support.

  • Manage administrative processes, such as enrollment tracking, database management, inquiries, feedback surveys, and program documentation.

  • Oversee on‑site tournament and program operations, ensuring smooth flow, participant safety, real‑time troubleshooting, and a positive, solution‑focused environment.

  • Support program evaluation and communications, including tracking metrics, contributing to post‑program reporting, and assisting with materials, promotions, and participant updates.

In addition, the seasonal coordinators can expect to be assigned to support a wide range of Jays Care Foundation projects and programs beyond their role including, but not limited to:

  • In-stadium events

  • Community events

  • Fundraising events

What We’re Looking For

  • Baseball experience and knowledge is preferred but not required—other coaching experience or work with youth is highly valued.

  • Proven ability to lead youth-facing programs, with a passion for using baseball and sport as tools for development.

  • Experience working with underserved communities, with an understanding of cultural protocols, is an asset.

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to travel.

  • Valid ‘G’ Driver’s License required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Recreation, Education, Sport Management, Business, Kinesiology, or related field.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Good demonstration of problem-solving skills and ability to work in a group

  • Significant competence in PowerPoint, Excel and different online communication platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams)

  • Fluency in French is an asset

SALARY: The anticipated base compensation for this role is $22.00 per hour.

POSITION STATUS: New

WORK LOCATION: In-office; required to work at Rogers Centre five days a week, or in the field, based on role requirements.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:
