In the role of Assisted Living Manager, you'll be responsible for coordinating and ensuring the delivery of quality care and services for our Assisted Living (AL) Residents at Hallmark on the Park community in Abbotsford in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. 

About The Role
*This is a temporary full-time position

As the Assisted Living Manager, you conduct pre-occupancy interviews, assess potential clients, and provide orientation for new residents and their families. You develop and maintain care plans for both Health Authority funded and private pay residents, ensuring accurate documentation and effective implementation. You collaborate with the clinical services team and external health professionals to support wellness programs and best practices. You lead, mentor, and support your team, ensuring effective scheduling, performance management, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Additionally, you manage the Assisted Living budget, track expenditures, and contribute to professional development and health and safety initiatives within the community. You model Baptist Housing's values and demonstrate servant leadership by the needs of others. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Resident assessments and pre-occupancy interviews to determine care needs and service eligibility.
  • Develop, implement and maintain Resident Care Plans, Personal Services Plans, and Assignments and Delegations of Tasks.
  • Provide orientation, education, and ongoing clinical guidance to Residents, families and care teams.
  • Lead and support clinical initiatives and Resident Wellness programs in alignment with best practices and regulator requirements.
  • Monitor care delivery, medication management, and documentation to ensure compliance with standards and legislation.
  • Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions to reduce risk and improve care quality.
  • Identify changes in Resident needs and support safe transitions when care requirements exceed service capacity. 
  • Promote a culture of health, safety, and infection prevention across the Assisted Living community.
  • Ensure team education and compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to assigned team members.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to support integrated care delivery and organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • ​​​​​​Completion of a recognized training program for Registered Nurses
  • A registered license in good standing with the BCCNM
  • Courses or certification in Gerontology
  • Courses or certifications in Business or Healthcare Administration
  • Current certification in Emergency First Aid: Community Care
  • Five years of experience in supervising and managing team member performance
  • Three years of experience within a seniors' Assisted Living community or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Your commitment to stewardship, innovation, and teamwork, along with a good sense of fun, ensures you contribute positively to the mission of Baptist Housing. 

Compensation & Benefits 

We offer a competitive compensation package with an annual salary range of $105,000 to $115,000.
