JOB OVERVIEW


The Employment Division of Key Industries is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team and fill the role of BRIDGE Coach in Saint John, New Brunswick! In this position, the successful applicant will be responsible for designing and implementing experiential learning tasks in simulated work environments and local educational facilities. This role plays a key part in supporting individuals with disabilities to develop the confidence and skills they need to reach their employment goals through hands-on, experiential learning.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


· Facilitate job simulation training sessions for participants referred by EAS agencies and community organizations.


· Develop and adapt individualized training session plans that reflect participants’ goals, skills, and learning needs using the Skills for Success and NOC profiles as guides.


· Deliver training using a strengths-based, person-centered approach with a focus on experiential learning.


· Provide one-on-one and small group support to participants with disabilities to help build workplace confidence and skills.


· Utilize the prompting hierarchy (Independent, Gestural, Verbal, Model, Physical) to support task completion and promote independence.


· Track participant progress, complete assessments, and document results.


· Report program outcomes using the provincial database system.


· Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve program delivery and identify new opportunities for impact.



QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS


· Diploma or degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Disability Support Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience)


· Knowledge of regional labour market trends and entry-level job openings


· Experience or knowledge in training or facilitating adult learners is preferred


· Adaptability & flexible thinking


· Understanding of MS Office Suite and ability to write reports are required


· Excellent oral and written communication, French is considered an asset


· Collaborative mindset with experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team and engaging community partners


· A strong sense of discretion and confidentiality is required


· This role requires a valid Driver’s License and the use of your own reliable vehicle

Contract


Full-Time, 1-year contract with possibility of extension
